4 Marble Falls baseball players named all-district

The Marble Falls High School baseball team had four Mustangs chosen all-District 24-4A by coaches of member schools.
Named to the first team is senior Evan Nickowski. Second team members are senior catcher Isaias Roman and sophomore Canon Cochran.
Honorable mention went to junior pitcher Colton Minor.
Head coach Tyler Porter said there’s not much more he can say about the seniors, adding he gives them as much credit for the Mustangs winning the 2023 district championship as the 2023 class.
“They left this program better than they found it,” he said.
He noted that Cochran continues to perform at a high level as he did a year ago.
“Canon was newcomer of the year last year,” he said.
Minor showed his natural talent throughout the season, Porter said. He was invaluable on the pitching staff as a lefty.
“He’s a kid who had been a straight football kid,” he said. “He could go out there and throw strikes. He could throw 20 pitches on Tuesday and be available Friday. He’s a kid who can contribute. He did what he needed to.”
